Hi I’m Bex, a Hampshire based blogger, sharing my travels and great places to eat with you on Bright Lights Big City.

I started posting about PR and my career in 2016, but it’s evolved to cover travel, food and drink and all the different experiences.

Take a look around to see what I’ve been up to lately. All my posts are under ‘Home’ and it is a good place to start.

Jack Frost is starting to nip at the toes of the beautiful autumnal days we’ve been having! ⠀⠀ The countdown to Christmas is on but I’m still holding on to the last little bits of autumn 🍂 ⠀⠀ #huntingforautumn
Woah, the we’re half way there! WOOOAHHH, living on a prayer! ⠀⠀ Running on empty and we’re only half way through the week. ⠀⠀ 📸Take me back to travelling around Cornwall... ⠀⠀ 📍St Michaels Mount, Cornwall ⠀⠀
⚡️🔑 ALOHOMORA! 🔑⚡️ ⠀⠀ Who else watches the Harry Potter Films in the run up to Christmas? 🤓 ⠀⠀ I am in the thick of the early films digging Hermione’s crimped locks and wondering why the cone hats aren’t in the later movies! 😂
OOHHHHHHHHHH he lives in a house, a very big house in the country... ⠀⠀ Sometimes Mondays demand big tunes and commute sing-a-longs. ✌🏻
ad Can you imagine spending a Sunday here? ⠀⠀ 🙋‍♀️I can! Get me to that gorgeous purple sofa and let me while away the afternoon @theoldforge in Otterbourne. ⠀⠀ This stunning setting and its incredible menu (see my previous post and blog - link in bio) make #TheOldForge an amazing local hangout that I’m thrilled to discover!
ad. The stunning new interior and menu @Theoldforge is the perfect escape from Jack Frost nipping at your toes. ⠀⠀ Open fireplaces, luxury velvet furnishings and a delicious new menu that will keep the wolf from the door! ⠀⠀ I had the seared wild Atlantic scallops and rack of lamb - it was cooked perfectly and the red wine jus was out of this world! ⠀⠀ Henry had the crispy calamari and the vegan cauliflower tart - which was incredible. It’s so nice to have really good vegan and vegetarian options! ⠀⠀ Of course we saved room for the classic sticky toffee pudding which had a little twist with bourbon vanilla ice cream. It was a cracking finish to our meal. ⠀⠀ I’ll be heading back to this leafy countryside pub very soon, it’s utterly charming and the food delicious! ❤️
