Travel, exploring and discovering something completely new comes in so many different forms. You don’t have to go far to find a little bit of everyday magic.
A garden that comes to life in the depths of winter is something really special. The winter garden at Mottisfont in Romsey was full of bright, colourful plants that could brighten up even the dullest day!
Getting some fresh air, stretching my legs and admiring the beautiful plants in bloom was a great way to brighten up January.

Happy Winter Solstice!
Celebrating the shortest day of the year at Stonehenge in Wiltshire is a real privilege. Winter and summer solstice is the only time of the year you can go into the stone circle and touch them. It’s totally incredible and my second year spending solstice at the stones.
The unique experience is one to tick off the bucket list for many people and CCN Travel were interested in my trip and images to share with their readers…

A day date to Hinton Ampner was everything I needed to embrace all the festive feels this winter!
Classic childhood tales were brought to life through decorated Christmas scenes in each room of the elegant country manor house based in the heart of Hampshire.
Here’s a few snaps of the beautiful rooms and stories from the day…

The beautiful island of Jersey is nurturing an incredible foodie scene.
Cargo is one of my favourite spots on the island for coffee and brunch, it’s gorgeous interior and delicious food made for a relaxed morning before a full day of sight seeing.

Are you looking for a great all round sandal for your next adventure? Getting the right kit for your trip is really very important. Finding decent shoes is a real struggle especially when you’re trying to fit a month’s worth of clothes and supplies to fit in a 20kg suitcase.
Before heading to Australia I did so much research to find great items that would be versatile, would mean I could pack light and above all else were quality and could survive the elements and being put through its paces.
Footwear is tricky when your travel adventure has you hiking in rainforest and up mountains one moment, clambering through rock pools the next and then hitting the city to sight see.
I discovered Teva a week before I left and thanks to next day delivery I’ve had a solid two years of adventuring with excellent sandals!

The trend for small plates is slowly coming over from Australia and New Zealand and it’s a foodie fashion I can get behind.
Caravan Bankside is a great place to experience this trend, it has a well-travelled menu, it’s based in an old metal box factory and it’s nestled in an emerging area of London.
Headed to London soon? Take a look…

Southampton’s old archaeology museum has been transformed into a new arts space by A Space Arts with the support of a whole host of funders.
FINALLY! The city has been crying out for more art spaces, culture and a step away from the huge chains that fill our high street. While they have their place in Southampton, the city lacks balance – now is the time for more independents, retail and places for live music.
Take a look at this fantastic new addition to the city centre…

Who wasn’t captured by the legend of King Arthur as a child?
Mythical Camelot, knights of the round table and Merlin the magician romanticise history and places across the whole of the UK. I’ve been a fan of the stories, films and art work inspired by these tales and that have influenced popular culture.
Tintagel Castle on North Cornwall’s rugged coastline has been inextricably linked to the legend for many years.
Headed to Cornwall? Need some trip inspiration? Take a look at my visit hiking round Tintagel and crossing the new bridge that re-connects the island to the mainland.
