From an early age my Nan would go on and on and on about how important it is to look after your skin. When I was eleven I really didn’t care but thank god Nan persisted and got me in the habit from an early age.
Over a decade later *ahem – it’s rude to ask someone’s age* my skin is in pretty good condition and I think part of that is down Nan’s skincare routine and her bloody amazing genes!

I got Lush in my bag, SWAG!
The Lush headquarters in Poole have recently been transformed into a pop-up shop full of limited edition ethically sourced swag!

I went from being a guest to a panelist Emma’s Beautique, a Capital FM beauty event, in the blink of an eye.
Hot weather, cold weather, snow, never ending rain and a miniature spring heat wave.
My skin has taken an absolute beating over the past few weeks from the roller coaster British weather.
The ups and downs have brought my eczema, which was under control, back and more aggressive than before.
However, it’s not all bad, I’ve got a little trick up I sleeve this year.

Let’s face it, make up for the screen is a lot different to your every day look. At the moment I’m trying to find my feet with my photographic and video make up.
Someone, whoever you are, nominated me for a free make over with MAC, in John Lewis West Quay, for International Women’s Day.
This was the perfect opportunity to get some expert advice on make up for the camera. I booked my appointment a few weeks later and here are the results.
At the same time I had my make up done and discovered a few other beauty products from the famous fashion house. Here’s a review, swatches and my final finished look.
It was a Friday 13th to remember this year as I spent it in a MAC Cosmetics lock in!
